Motreb tells the story of Abraham Khosh Sineh, a nightclub singer performing on the eve of the Iranian Revolution. As the old entertainment world collapses around him, he lacks the fame and financial means to follow other singers of his generation abroad to Los Angeles, and instead must reinvent himself as a wedding and ceremony performer to survive. It's a poignant, often bittersweet look at how ordinary artists cope when history sweeps their world away.
