Meshmeshe (Cinema Khar) is an Iranian situational satire that follows a film crew struggling to shoot a movie — and the chaos that erupts when they need a donkey for a handful of scenes. What starts as a simple production requirement spirals into a series of misadventures that expose the absurdities of low-budget filmmaking in Iran. Directed and written by Shahed Ahmadlou, the comedy marks the screen debut of Pouria Shakibaei, son of the legendary Khosrow Shakibaei. With its dry wit and behind-the-scenes chaos, Meshmeshe offers a fresh, self-referential take on Iranian comedy. Stream the full movie in Persian on Top Local Videos.
