Kozoo is an Iranian feature film written and directed by Maysam Hashemitaba and produced by Hasan Kalami, released in 2021. The story draws on a miner's wisdom: the more desperately you search for diamonds, the less likely you are to find them — it is the diamond that chooses its person, deciding whose hand it falls into and whose finger it adorns.
Through this poetic metaphor, the film explores fate, longing, and the invisible forces that bring people together. It is a thought-provoking piece of contemporary Persian cinema that lingers long after the credits roll.
