Shahrak Kelileh va Demneh is a 2022 Iranian puppet series directed by veteran filmmaker Marzieh Boroumand, who returns to her beloved puppetry craft at the age of 71, bringing her artistry from stage and television to home streaming for the first time. In this first episode, two young deer, Khotan and Khomar, leave behind the vanishing wilderness of Dasht-e Naz as nature gives way to concrete and iron, and move into a modest apartment in the town of Kelileh va Demneh in search of a better life.
