S01E01 · Asbabe Zahmat — Episode 1

Asbabe Zahmat is a charming Iranian social-comedy series directed by Saeed Aghakhani, premiering during Ramadan 2025 on SimaFilm. With a screenplay by Abolfazl Kahani, the show follows a colourful ensemble of ordinary people caught in hilariously relatable predicaments — a couple struggling to start a family, a man who loses his savings in crypto, an eccentric cyclist attempting a world tour on a handmade bike, and a reluctant migrant uprooted from Bastam to Tehran.

Star-studded with beloved Iranian performers including Hassan Majooni, Abbas Jamshidi-Far, Kamand Amirsoleimani and Hooman Haji Abdollahi, the cast's natural chemistry brings warmth and spontaneity to every scene. Equal parts farce and gentle social commentary, Asbabe Zahmat holds a mirror to the absurdities and resilience of modern Iranian life.
